Right-hander is third in American League with 24 longballs allowed this season

Even when things have been going well for Orioles right-hander Tommy Hunter, left, he's had difficulty keeping the ball in the park. And when things spiral out of control for Hunter, it is often because of his tendency to give up home runs. That was the case again Saturday night when the Oakland Athletics used a pair of two-run blasts to beat Hunter and the Orioles, 6-1.

It's the first time Phelps has failed to medal in an Olympic final since 2000. "It's frustrating for sure. ... It's pretty upsetting and the biggest thing now is just to try to get past it and move forward," Phelps said. Ray Lewis and Jameel McLain say they dropped weight to keep pace in a quicker league

The glare hasn't gone anywhere. Even in training camp practices, Ray Lewis' scowl, which has almost dared opposing teams to run his way for nearly two decades in the NFL, remains omnipresent. But the long-time face of the Ravens' vaunted defense has a different look this summer. A lean Lewis reported to training camp last week and acknowledged he is probably the lightest that he's been since he arrived in Baltimore as a rookie in 1996, burdened by questions about whether he was too small to hold up at middle linebacker.
